shavings, straw, and bulk shavings or sawdust.
Once
liquid is added to this highly absorbant bedding the pellets
fluff from the original granulated state into soft sawdust (two
to three times their size!) forming a comfortable, dense cushion
of bedding for the horse. Manure is sifted out with no problem
and the wet spots soak almost immediately into the bedding,
forming a clumped area that is easily picked out. Less bedding
is removed daily and only one or two fresh bags need to be added
weekly (depending on stall size).
Since there is so much less waste generated,
there is no need for a huge manure pile that needs to be hauled
away frequently. The bottom line on savings—on average, one
pallet of 65 bags will last one horse in a 12 x 12 stall for
one year!
