Our Services

Why hire a graphic designer when desktop publishing software and graphic software are readily accessible to anyone who cares to purchase them? Ask any major corporation and they will tell you that a properly designed piece will attract attention, aid in brand recognition, and increase sales.

Studies have only recently discovered that the human brain has evolved to act more as a filter for information than a rational, analytical computing mechanism. It enabled our ancestors to be alert to changes in their environment that could signal danger or bounty. Today our brains filter vast amounts of inconsequential information on a daily basis. Marketing collateral which lacks contrast, clarity and impact is ignored. Graphic designers are trained to present information in a clear, concise, artful manner, with maximum appeal.

It is as important for the small business owner as it is for the large corporation to present an image that is both professional and polished. A well designed magazine ad, brochure, and website will deliver strong impact, convey an image that the cust0mer can trust, and show the high quality of your horses. Why spend thousands of dollars on horses only to have your advertising make them look like they belong in the back-yard?

We generally price each job individually, as each client has different needs, but are general guidelines to our pricing structure.

Content Suggestions:

Developing a website can often be an overwhelming task for a busy farm and/or business owner. To make it easier, we have compiled a list of suggestions and ideas for what you might want to include on your site. Please note that these are just general suggestions and your needs may be different.

Welcome page: Can have a brief welcome message stating who you are, where you are located, and what you do and/or a favorite quote, or brief “recent news” blurbs.

Home page: Also can also serve as your “News” page (or the link and heading can be changed from “Home” to “News” if you wish), in which you detail show wins, progress on your farm, new imports, sales, purchases, births or any other event of note.

About page: Here you can go into depth about your goals, mission statement, philosphy, history, personal profiles, what makes your farm unique, history of the breed, and whatever other information you would like to present about yourselves, your breeding operation, your facility, and your general passion/interest. Is there a story behind your farm name? If so, include it! You can also include links to other farms or special thank yous on this page if you wish and any articles that you may have written or had written about you.

Mares: Your breeding stock complete with pedigrees, photos, descriptions, show wins, and any other information you would like to include.

Stallions:  If you don't have a stallion you are standing, you can also use this page to present information on studs to which you are breeding.

For Sale: Your sale horses complete with pedigrees, photos, descriptions, show wins, and any other information you would like to include..

Gallery: Photos of you, your facility, your ads, additional fun photos of your horses, pets, or anything else that you would like to present.

Contact: Your complete contact information (or any that you wish to publish). I will also include email and phone number on all pages for ease of use to visitors.

News: If you have a lot of press releases or updates, not only can you present your most recent news on your hompage, but you can also go into more detail on your news page, or archive stories here.

Links: If you have referrals you would like to link to or other organizations which provide information on breed registries, rules and regulations, or fellow breeders, put them here.

Photos: In order to best represent your horses we like to see the following:

  1. A three-quarter head shot in show halter or bridle with the horse looking attentive, ears pricked forward, neck arched, coat clean and shiny, correctly clipped and groomed.
  2. A conformation shot with the horse correctly stood up in show halter or bridle, gleaming, clean and shiny, correctly clipped and groomed.
  3. Expressive movement shots, big and bold, at the trot and canter.
  4. Other head shots...profile, face front, sweet/cute/candid expressions.
  5. Artistic shots are also great...ones with interesting lighting, a gorgeous expression, dynamic action...anything really creative!
  6. Try not to have distracting backgrounds. Natural backgrounds with good contrast to the horse are best.
